What JobPacket is

JobPacket turns your resume profile into tailored CVs and cover letters for specific job postings, and helps you track the applications you send. This policy describes what we collect, why, and what we never do with it.

What we collect

Account data: your email address, display name, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password itself).

Profile and documents: the resume/CV you paste or type, your work history, skills, and the tailored documents we generate for you. This is the substance of the service — it is stored so you can reuse and download it.

Application data: the jobs you save, evaluate, tailor, and track, and the stages you set for them.

Payment data: payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we store your plan, credit balance, and purchase history.

Usage data: basic operational logs needed to run and secure the service.

How your data is processed

To extract, evaluate, and draft your documents, parts of your profile and the job posting are sent to AI model providers through OpenRouter. Your data is never used to train models, never sold, and never shared for advertising. We ask our providers not to retain it beyond the request.

Job data

Job listings come from companies' public career pages and public ATS feeds. If you are an employer and want a listing corrected or removed, contact us.

Retention and deletion

Your data is kept while your account exists so the service works. To delete your account and its data, email us from the address associated with your account (see Contact) and we will remove it. Backups age out within 30 days of deletion.

Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt, sessions are signed tokens in HTTP-only cookies, and tenant data is isolated at the database level — one account can never read another account's documents.
